Bowie's Story

Bowie is a Wild Mustang from the Modoc National Forest in Modoc County, CA. When I first got him in 2021, he was a scraggly little 4-month-old. I had him for almost a year when he became ill in December of 2022. The vet who came to examine him diagnosed him with colic, but I knew that wasn’t the case since I had just cleaned a messy stall filled with manure.

We took him to the vet, and he stayed there for 4 days. Eventually, they decided to conduct further examinations and discovered he had massive ulcers. We treated him with ulcer medication for a month and took him back for another evaluation. He was cleared, so we implemented preventive measures to keep the ulcers at bay, but I wanted to explore a more natural option. December 2023 we attended the National Finals Rodeo and asked every feed vendor for recommendations, but they only suggested what he was already taking. 

Eventually, we found Equine Health Solutions, where the representative was very informative. She mentioned that her horses also had ulcers so she understood not wanting to have your horse on all the different feeds and meds, so we decided to try their product because it was natural and would allow the horse’s body to direct the medication where it was needed.

We started him on the Equine Health Solution Pellets as soon as we got home, and we noticed a significant improvement in his mood and behavior. Bowie loves these pellets, and he has been on them for a year. in December of 2024 he started having issues with his feet and didn't want to walk. Instead of calling the vet and spending $$$$ just to hear he was lame and to be prescribed anti-inflammatories, we began giving him 5 CC of the liquid hemp solution. Remarkably, he was walking again within 3 days. My farrier came out when he was at his worst and returned afterward, stating that if she hadn’t seen him before, she would never have known anything was wrong with his feet. 

This product has been a lifesaver, not only for my finances but for my best friend as well.
